520 - GARTH CAMPBELL
From Southland garth hasn't raced for 25 years and has been dusting off the helmet and gear to get behind the wheel in a class being reinvigorated by some of the old hands!
Garth's boat is the ex Michael Hill winning hull from 1997 and his engine was Mike Pooley's piston V8 engine that saw him threaten more than one or two gas turbines before he jumped to one himself.

596 - MARK ALLAN
Mark returns to racing after a break of 12 years and reckons he has plenty of races and plenty of trophies under his belt and on the shelf from over the years! His trusty old KwikKraft mono will contest A class with a rebuilt dry sump, Hillborn injected Chev - 417 cubes pushing out around 650 horses.
Craig Moss is "the only one crazy enough to sit alongside me" in the silly seat. The re-emergence of early race boats with up spec'd safety gear looks set to see a return to A class competition and this pair has successfully made a welcome splash back into the river racing fraternity.

979 - LEE HARRISON
After winning the NZ Marathon in 2021 in FX, Lee stepped up to CX class with a new hull and engine but disaster struck in his first outing, sinking in the Rakaia. He's returned with a hull arguably driven by more drivers than anyone else thanks to John's passion for bringing people into the sport. Lee ran a CX engine in A class at the recent Otago Rivers Race, grabbing third outright and is looking set to instal his A spec engine shortly.
His business Majestic Housing supports FX Class racing.
